Abstract
The documentation center was created to meet the information needs on marine and coastal issues of marine science researchers, the academic community and members of society in general interested in these issues. Likewise, it is the custodian of the results of research and work carried out at INVEMAR, and is in charge of the technical management of bibliographic, audiovisual and cartographic information that reaches the Institution either by purchase, exchange or donation.
