Citation
Abstract The Aranda is a marine research vessel managed by the Finnish Environment Institute. The name Aranda derives from Greek and, loosely translated, means “ploughman of the seas”. As the name implies, the ship has been designed and built specifically to meet the demands of the Baltic Sea. The ship is reinforced for use in icy conditions and operates in the Baltic Sea in all seasons, even in winter.
