Abstract From April 19, 2021, the team of the Storm Warning System and the Meteorological Service of the Chilean Navy will work together to generate even more reliable storm surge warnings, this in the context of the FONDEF project: "Development of a scale storm surge impact for effective communication and disaster risk reduction "awarded by the University of Valparaíso together with DIRECTEMAR, ONEMI and the company ECOTECNOS SA, and which is financed by ANID.
