Citation
Abstract The mission of the U.S. National Ice Center (USNIC) is to provide global to tactical scale ice and snow products, ice forecasting, and other environmental intelligence services for the United States Government. The USNIC Product Catalog presents a listing of products and services available to external customers. Each product listing includes a description, coverage area, parameters analyzed, sources, output format, dissemination, and customers. The table of contents will link to the products. This catalog is not classified. USNIC can support our users via SIPR and JWICS. U.S. Code defines the Arctic to mean “all United States and foreign territory north of the Arctic Circle and all United States territory north and west of the boundary formed by the Porcupine, Yukon, and Kuskokwim Rivers; all contiguous seas, including the Arctic Ocean and the Beaufort, Bering, and Chukchi Seas; and the Aleutian chain”. USNIC's area of operations include water areas affected by sea ice, to include Arctic and Sub-Arctic seas. USNIC analyzes sea ice and icebergs south of 60S in the Antarctic Seas. U.S waters include the Great Lakes and NE United States. If the existing product suite does not meet your needs, we can provide information focused on your mission requirements. If you have questions regarding existing products, recommendations for new products, or need additional assistance, please contact the Command Duty Officer (CDO).
