Abstract The guide constitutes an essential tool to support municipal environmental management, given that it contains specific guidelines on the use and exploitation of coastal ecosystems and resources, it establishes guidelines for the articulation of actions on the territory in accordance with the general model of the country’s territorial order. Likewise, it proposes guidelines and recommendations for comprehensive risk management, coastal erosion management and adaptation to the effects of climate change.
