Abstract
In this product are presented the High-resolution weather forecasts from the WRF (Weather Research and Forecasting) models provided by MeteoGalicia under the RAIA project partnership.
This atmospheric model covers the entire Northwest of the Iberian Peninsula, using a spatial resolution of 1.4 km for the wind, and 4 km for the remaining parameters.
The waves forecast are obtained from the high resolution model SWAN (Simulating Waves Nearshore), which runs daily at the Hydrographic Institute, covering the entire western coast of the Iberian Peninsula, with a resolution of 1Km.
The Kitesurf product contains data of wind direction and intensity, gust velocity and turbulence index (a qualitative measure of the ratio of average wind speed to gust), as well as air temperature, percentage of cloudiness, significant height, direction and wave period.
